Letter: Upton health bill helping so many
U.S. Rep. Fred Upton’s 21st Century Cures effort doesn’t go unnoticed.
It was one of the very last bills signed into law by President Obama in 2016, but for some reason it doesn’t really get the recognition it deserves.
The 21st Century Cures Act, written by our very own Congressman Fred Upton, is a tangible win for patients and families here in Southwest Michigan. This first-of-its-kind bill boosts funding for critical research into various diseases. It also safely speeds up approvals for groundbreaking new drugs and devices.
Thank you, Fred, for never being afraid to roll up your sleeves, work across the aisle, and get things done for us. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
