Upton Announces Debate & Forum Schedule

St. Joseph, MI – Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, today announced his fall debate and candidate forum schedule. Upton released the following statement:

“These seven debates, candidate forums, and specialized media appearances will stretch into every corner of our district. Most will be aired on television and radio or streamed online for all to see and hear.  

“As we do every campaign season, we’re excited to participate in this process.

“We’re looking forward to sharing our positive, bipartisan work to boost our local economy,  preserve our Great Lakes, combat the opioid crisis, protect Medicaid and Social Security, and much more.”

Upton will take part in a live debate at the studios of WKZO in mid-October. 

Upton will take part in a live debate at the studios of WWMT NewsChannel 3 in Kalamazoo in mid-October.

Upton will take part in a live forum hosted by the American Association of University Women of Michigan on October 18th in South Haven. This event is open to the public.

Upton will take part in a live forum hosted by the Berrien/Cass County School Board Association, the Berrien Regional Education Service Agency, and Lewis Cass Intermediate School District on Monday October 8th in Berrien County. This event is open to the public.

Upton will join ABC57’s “Your Voice Your Vote” on September 11 for a television series highlighting the candidates’ position on the issues.

Upton will join Gordon Evans of WMUK on September 19 for a radio series highlighting the candidates’ position on the issues.

Upton had also previously joined WGVU for a “Decision 2018” television series highlighting the candidates’ position on the issues.

Upton represents Michigan’s Sixth Congressional District which includes all of Berrien, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties and most of Allegan County. He won re-election in 2016 with 59 percent of the vote.
